While in Duncan, I dropped by my aunts place for a little visit and we got talking about knitting because I was just starting on a new knitting thing and was talking about it as I knit. She pulled a book from World War Two time with knitting patterns in it. Like this lovely hat. 

We agreed that it looks like a big cookie on her head. 

There was also a pretty cute little sweater for boys. 

And a page touting the jerkin. 

There was also advice on how to keep your hands nice.
