Wednesday

This is the correct position for my first finger. I have had my hand too high all along.
The picture is for my mental reinforcement.

After a master class

We found a very photogenic wall in the conservatory after the master class this Saturday.

Waiting at swimming lessons

I am sitting at the pool while J has his lesson. There are competitive swim club teenagers having their practice in the lanes next to the lessons lane. They are doing race starts followed by two lengths of swimming. When I watch them swim front crawl, the movement of their bodies seems to create a disproportionate propulsion.  It looks like they have motors moving them along while they make swimming motions and hardly put in any effort at all. It's a product of fitness and technique and contrasts highly with the lane of level seven and eight swimming lessons kids right beside them who look like they are all putting in a great amount of effort and are not moving nearly as fast.

I'm seeing the same effect now with back crawl. It must be unseen power coming from the legs.

My Birthday Activities

I biked out to get my car insurance renewed this morning seeing as it expired last night at midnight.
This time I peeled ALL the old decals off first.
That looks so much better.

Filming a crowd scene

We are doing a little movie with Star Trek characters and Dr Who characters in it. This Sunday our friends kindly spent two hours in Pam and Jon's basement bring the crowd in a pub.
It's set on an alien planet with human like inhabitants loosely medieval-esque.
These are some setting up pictures.
I'm telling someone something important.
And, action!
And some shots for costume continuity for next weekend when we shoot the vicious sword fight in an alleyway.
We are generally more organized this time, with much more scripted dialogue. Although that does take longer to shoot, I think it will be easier to edit.
