Wednesday October 22

This is the most words I have ever seen in a parking space! This is at Uptown in the large subterranean parking right the Future Shop entrance.
There was so much wind last night that the flag at the school was completely wrapped around the pole.
The over the back fence neighbours have ducks and we came home in the middle of the day to find them in front of our house on the driveway. Eva and I herded them back to our back yard and then over the fence. They couldn't figure out that we meant for them to go over until Eva went in really close and picked up one of the smaller ones and chucked it over.
Ducks really move differently than chickens do. There's this continual swaying and shifting of weight and their head movements are swoops instead of jerky.
I was laying in bed last night looking out the window at the Garry oak in the backyard getting blown all over the place by the wind.
Backyard Gale

Gustily blowing, the wind is barging past, rushing here and there. It takes its firm hand to the Garry oak to tousle the branches and muss its leafy twigs.

Cheers,

Lise
