Go to elk lake for a swim at dinner time.
Go to Thetis Lake right smack in the middle of the hottest part of the day. I swam out to the island and back. I took my phone in a waterproof pouch and took a selfie at the island to prove I was there. Of course I couldn't see my image in the phone screen at all because it was so sunny out so it ain't framed so good. I am not in pain or worried; I am only squinting.
This is the view back to the beach shore, through the waterproof pouch. Good eh?
We go to Durrance Lake for a lovely soul refreshing swim. No pictures unfortunately, I was too busy feeling joyfully at one with the water and the trees, and ignoring the gaping blackness under the water below me everyone I dipped my eyes below the surface as I breast stroked across the lake. I had goggles on. Sometimes you don't want to see.
We go out to find a parking lot in which to practice learning to drive.L

Lise, you could enter that photo (through the waterproof pouch) into a competition. It's as good, if not better, than a painting we saw at the Sooke Fine Arts Show the other day and I believe IT won an honourable mention!
