Stuff from April

I thought this grass edge near the elementary school looked kind of like a beach.
And this is a sadly broken bass at the middle school done accidentally by me when I was picking up my sons cello to bring it home for him. It brushed against the bass standing up which fell over and broke immediately.
I felt sick, as if l I had killed a living thing. Luckily, later on they were able to replace it temporarily until it could be fixed.

Strange license plate and identi-bikes

This is a new kind of license plate, I think.
Maybe some kind of Government one?
And these bikes I noticed are pretty much all the same bike.

Preparing for the Mt Doug Easter Hunt

It was a map quest kind of hunt where you had to find words on flagging tape at various points using the map and come back to the group at do a word jumble to discover the phrase.
This is us prepping at Granny's house before going out to hand the flagging tape.
List of words getting copied onto the tape.
Picking somewhat tricky spots to hang them.
At the park rehearsing their skit using all the words they found on their tapes.

Future Baking projects

The first one is more about the look of it than the taste.
And this one is simply a yummy chocolate cake that is also gluten free so I can eat it too.
Seems to all about the cake, I guess.

Stools all up on the tables in the art room at middle school.

Tigh Na Mara

Jeff had a conference for work at Tigh Na Mara so we got the opportunity to piggyback on it and all stay in one of the cabins the night after his conference.
This time we actually managed to get the fire lit. Nice.
There are a lot of log structures there. It's pretty much a theme.
The kids were being a totem pole.
And a less totem pole like shot.
And the one with all of us.
And then we played minigiolf. We got our game in before the rain actually started, which was nice.

Bright Angel Park

In March we went to Bright angel park. They have taken out the really tall swings and thick heavy big old Teeter totters. They replaced them with new play stuff.
Interesting looking.
Kind of neat.
But not as fun as really long swings, I'm afraid.

I like that park.
